Project Scope:

Casey Electrical Services (CES) is preparing for a ground-up electrical installation for PetSmart in Springfield, MA, set to begin in 2025. As part of a larger redevelopment at Eastfield Mall, this project involves delivering a complete electrical infrastructure for the new PetSmart location. Working alongside Seppala Construction, CES will provide comprehensive power distribution, lighting systems, fire alarm installations, and all necessary electrical components to support the store’s specialized needs, including climate-controlled pet areas, aquatics, and retail displays.

Planned Installations and Upgrades:

Power Distribution Systems:

 • Complete Power Infrastructure: Installing new power distribution systems to ensure reliable electrical service throughout the retail space.

 • Energy Management: Implementing energy-efficient solutions to optimize power usage, reduce operational costs, and support sustainability.

Lighting Systems:

 • Interior Retail Lighting: Installing energy-efficient LED lighting designed to enhance product displays and create an inviting shopping experience.

 • Exterior Lighting: Upgrading exterior lighting to improve security and visibility, ensuring a well-lit environment for customers and staff.

Fire Alarm & Safety Systems:

 • Advanced Fire Alarm Installations: Deploying state-of-the-art fire alarm systems, including smoke detectors, alarm panels, and emergency notification devices.

 • Safety Compliance: Ensuring all fire alarm installations meet the latest safety codes and undergo rigorous testing for reliability.

Specialized Electrical Installations for PetSmart:

 • Climate Control & Specialized Power Needs: Installing electrical systems to support pet care areas, including temperature-controlled enclosures for animals, aquatic life support, and grooming stations.

 • Secure Power & Data Infrastructure: Ensuring proper electrical and data wiring for checkout stations, inventory systems, and security systems to facilitate smooth store operations.
